| :: Phase.1 DIRECTIVE: win the sponsor | ||
| ·· veteran IndyCar driver Scott Sharp called in a mild panic: he was headed to Las Vegas to make a pitch to Patrón corporate - he was changing IRL teams [ from Delphi Fernandez ] and needed to secure a main sponsorship for his new ride with Rahal Letterman [ Patrón was then an associate sponsor of team Delphi Fernandez ] and had nothing to tantalize them with ... | ||
| ... the concept, design and renderings [ including custom modeling ] were conceived and completed with minimal verbal-only art direction in less than 30 hours - Scott hopped a plane, successfully presented the pitch, brought Patrón on-board and then flew to Kansas to drive the Kansas Lottery Indy 300... phew!!! | ||
| :: Phase.2 DIRECTIVE: "Make it unique!!." | ||
| ·· an innovative and never-before-used [ in a motorsports paddock ] design that features a single POD [ 40' long x 8' wide x 9.5' tall shipping container ] - [ front Patrón Silver product box is not an add-on ] - everything in the build is packed within the POD and subsequently delivered to the site, intact, by landoll trailer... | ||
| ... the POD rear houses an industrial generator - all electrical, HVAC, sound, satellite/communication and related support systems are self-contained | ||
| ·· Club Patrón's exterior features a grand 20' tall x 16' wide entrance, an observation deck including foldable [ for traveling] knee walls with drink rails, umbrellas and spiral stair; a trapezoidal overhead canopy, open-air cafe tables, 42" plasma, driving simulator, large bar with catering facilities and billboard-size hanging banner walls | ||
| ·· the metro-modern sleek interior features faux-granite tile, silver walls, overhead lighting, a state-of-the-art entertainment system, black leather couches and matching chairs, 42" plasma and a private office for Scott to conduct his business on the road | ||
| ·· highlight feature: a true-to-life, 6'-7" tall Patrón Silver bottle - the work-of-art resin bottle is an exact replica in every detail, from the ribbons and cork to the labeling and unique quality of the "glass"... | ||
| ... at each race, celebrities, drivers, etc. sign the bottle and at the end of the racing season Patrón will auction off the bottle for charity | ||
| ·· no agency was involved in any facet of the project - pbeach and the fabricator handled all logistical aspects of the tour | ||
| ·· pbeach supervised and managed the fabrication process from beginning to end... a 2 1/2 month saga - the fabricator relied heavily on the 3d renderings throughout the construction | ||
| ·· concept / component / model types + layout positions, branding signage, exterior/interior design decisions and color treatments were left to pbeach imagination and creativity | ||
| ·· 3d components modeled in 3ds Max | ||
